Dr. Suresh Mohan

This article wishes to introduce Dr. Suresh Mohan, probably India's only active deep-sky astrophotographer.

Dr. Suresh Mohan is a ultra-sound scanning specialist, residing in Kizhpauk, Chennai. His most passionate hobby is astrophotography! Especially of nebulae, galaxies and star clusters.

He owns a 10" f/6 Meade LX200 SCT, and a Canon (300D or 350D) DSLR with which he takes photographs. With his precise pole alignment and professional image processing skills, he has produced several marvellous photographs of nebulae, globular clusters and galaxies.

Dr. Suresh is well known amidst the amateur astronomers of India. He has been an inspiration to many BAS members including Hemant, Amar and Akarsh. He has been responsible for ties between BAS and TANASTRO, thus bringing astronomy associations from two different states together.
