Our knowledge of the universe has evolved over the millennia with the steady advance in observational techniques and with the progress in theoretical explanations and models. The culture of any civilization is an amalgam of its myths and legends, art and literature, science and philosophy, religious beliefs and superstitions. Cosmic vision has had its influence, often a profound one, on culture in all its variety. This will be illustrated in the presentation of Prof. Vishveshwara through astronomical photographs, paintings, and quotations as well as short video clips of computer graphics with background music.
