The forums are powered by yet-a-fairly-basic Simple Machines Forum 1.1.2. We'll soon have many more modules, themes and customizations coming though. So far as the motive behing the forum goes, It is to basically unify the many diverse mailing lists, group websites and individuals part of both of these unto one forum wherein one can have a complete and user friendly forums for threaded and categorized discussions.
On the long run, we intend to provide childboards for groups of people by location and to integrate the forum unto a full portal. We seek your whole-hearted cooperation and activity on these forums to aid in our bid to centralise astronomy circles in India. Feedback about the site are welcome.
