BAS's Astronomy Workshop at NIT Warangal.

Bangalore Astronomical Society in association with National Institute of Technology Warangal conducts Amateur Astronomy Workshop as part of Technozion-09 at NIT Warangal Campus.

A two day workshop had 83 participants from various engineering colleges. Topics such as Constellations, Solar system, Telescopes, Astrophotography, Stellar evolutions, Black holes and Meteorite hunting were discussed.
with bad sky conditions we managed to see Moon and Jupiter. Few participants interested in Astrophotography tried prime focus and fixed tripod methods.




Sessions were made interactive and most of the participants enjoyed, with some mistakes here and there, over event satisfied all the participants.

Astronomy quiz in between the sessions were interesting.

BAS volunteers - Pramod, Viswakeerthy, Alex, Achyut spent time showing the participants the objects in binoculars, telescopes and astrophotography.

We would like to thank NIT volunteers John, Manisha for being with us all day and their hospitality was outstanding. Thanks :)
